About the Opportunity
We are seeking passionate and experienced Lifestyle Attendants to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team based in Brighton, Southern suburbs of Adelaide.

We currently have casual and permanent part-time vacancies available. The roles will encompass day shifts as well as passive night sleepovers over weekdays and weekends:

  • 7 am to 3PM
  • 3pm to 7am (Passive Sleepover 10pm – 6am) All applicants must be willing and able to perform active sleepovers.

Number of Vacancies:

  • 3 x Part-time (15-20 hours)
  • 3 x Casuals

Customer Specification
This position will be supporting two male individuals with unique needs that require specialised care and attention. Both customers have complex requirements that require a support worker with a diverse skill set.

These customers have a history of acquired brain injuries and require consistent support in managing medication, seizures, and emotional regulation. They also benefit from individuals who possess a background in mental health support and SIL (Supported Independent Living Accommodation).

Given their medical history and the nature of their disability, candidates with proficiency in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and an understanding of trauma and abuse dynamics are highly valued.

Additionally, familiarity with neurofibromatosis, a condition they live with, is advantageous for providing comprehensive care and support.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current DHS Disability clearance or NDIS Workers Clearance (Working)
  • Current WWC clearance/Child Related Employment Screening (Working)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Desirable) or equivalent experience
  • Current First Aid certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current Manual Handling certificate
  • Driver’s license
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • COVID-19 Infection Control Training
  • Medication Administration Training
  • Seizure Management Training (desirable)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (desirable)
