Position Description:

Warehouse Operative with Forklift Licence

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload electric appliances and lighting products.
• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of products, ensuring they match order specifications and quality standards.
• Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, including proper storage, labelling, and rotation of stock.
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and staging products according to customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate outgoing shipments and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including cleaning, organising, and restocking inventory.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns regarding warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator licence and demonstrated proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably in the electrical appliance or lighting industry.
• The ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as inventory management and order fulfilment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
