Our Role
We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Full-time Maintenance Fitter to join our hardworking team at our Riverton Limestone Plant located near Tenterfield, New South Wales. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist in the regular maintenance, Job Planning, modification, repair and unscheduled breakdown rectification services for the processing fixed plant and equipment.
Ordinarily this will be a five day dayshift between Monday to Friday role however you will be required to work some overtime and will be available to attend unplanned breakdowns, whereby overtime will be accrued.
This position will require you to:
- Complete scheduled mechanical maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
- Replace, fabricate and machine components on plant and equipment in line with planned maintenance schedule or to rectify faults or recover from breakdown.
- Recommend and undertake improvement projects on plant and machinery.
- Complete condition monitoring and inspections of fixed plant and mobile equipment.
To be the successful candidate, you need to will have:
- A trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Metal Fabricator or Mechanic and have a good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with repairing crushing, screening, milling, kiln and hydrator equipment would be highly regarded but not essential.
- Sound welding, fabrication and/or machining skills would be highly regarded but not essential.
- A current driver’s license and ability to drive manual vehicles.
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and who can work self-sufficiently to generate positive outcomes.
- Ability to balance and deliver on team and personal objectives in a safe and efficient manner following safe work practices.
- Computer literacy and attention to detail in your work.
- A willingness to learn new skills.
The successful candidate will have a good foundation understanding of the concepts of preventative maintenance and condition monitoring and will have a positive attitude towards safety with an ability to demonstrate leadership in this area. You will also have a commitment to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements and legislation, and will be successful at working as part of a team.
