Client-Side Project Management Opportunity in Sydney - 2-5 yrs Postgrad Exp - $70-100k pkg dependant on experience
Our Client is a leading fund management and construction management firm specialising in residential and commercial projects in the vibrant Sydney market. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, they pride themselves on their commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.They are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join their team and support the Director in the successful delivery of residential and commercial construction projects across Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a passion for project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify project requirements, goals, and constraints, and develop strategies to meet or exceed expectations.
- Assist with procurement activities, including sourcing vendors, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts.
- Provide regular updates to the Director and other stakeholders on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the implementation of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the residential and commercial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
