Description:
Our client is a world leader in Plastics Manufacturing and requires an on going casual (Temp to Perm Transition opportunity) Maintenance Fitter to start ASAP.
The successful applicant is to be an integral part of a small but dynamic team maintaining a range of plastic blow moulding equipment and robotic packaging automation, with scope to learn and grow. Working closely with production personnel and focused on achieving maximum site performance results. Be active in preventative maintenance and be prepared to work a day and afternoon shift roster.
Your roles and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Complete scheduled tasks and mechanical breakdown tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Work independently at times but also as part of a team to achieve the best outcome for the business
- Scope, complete, record and close out work using MEX Works Orders
- Support the production team
- Liaise with Electrical Trades where required
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects to achieve improved Safety, Productivity, Quality & Reliability
- Maintain spare parts inventory as required
- Problem solving with a cost-effective solution that maximises production uptime
- Prioritising safety above all else
To be suitable for this role you should have:
- Cert III Engineering (Mechanical Trade) Qualification
- Prior experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of “good practice” preventative maintenance strategies
- Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience
