The Opportunity

Village Court Gardens is a vibrant retirement living community located in Glenvale Toowoomba, and we have a wonderful opportunity for a true maintenance 'all-rounder' to join our team and be responsible for the daily maintenance, cleaning, groundskeeper and repair tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with the Community Manager, you will ensure our entire village is well-maintained and presentable. The ideal candidate needs to be friendly, approachable to residents, have the ability to work autonomously and have general maintenance or 'handyperson' experience. Located in Glenvale, you will be working in a tight-knit community where you will thrive in making our community a better place for residents!

This new opportunity is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday 8-4pm.

You will

• You will attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure projects undertaken are safe, timely and completed to a high standard
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
• Complete general groundskeeping cleaning tasks around the village
• Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team
• Please note - this is not a gardening role, we've got those tasks covered!

What you will bring

• Experience or skills in general domestic maintenance or 'handyperson' roles/tasks (highly desired)
• A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day
• Valid driver's licence (required)
• Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
• Minimum two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
