A Varied Position with a Large National Employer. Providing Support to Families, Children and Youth.
About This Employer: Based in our central regional Townsville office. This Large reputable national employer provides a range of Indigenous community and support services, including counselling, AOD, mediation, mental health, parenting, youth, children, family and domestic violence reduction support. Additionally, projects and programs, tailored for couples, individuals, families, children and women.
Role Specifics : This position will have a strong focus on increasing safety and wellbeing for women, children, and men within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
The purpose of this position is to provide a range of specialist intervention and support to children, young people, and their families who are experiencing, or have been affected by, domestic and family violence through individual and group counselling within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
Essential Skill Set:
- Tertiary Qualified
- Strong communication skills,
- Computer literacy with ability to use electronic patient databases
- Drivers License
- Competent with service delivery, dealing with key stake holders
- Solid counselling/social work experience with First Nations children, youth, women and families
