This position is a joint position between University of Adelaide and the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Palliative Care (RAP), within the framework of the partnership agreement between the two bodies which aims to ensure high quality educational experiences for Physiotherapy students
About the Role:
As the Senior Clinical Educator, your duties may include:
Coordinating the Health Service end of clinical placements within RAP, for students undertaking the Physiotherapy courses through the University of Adelaide.
Supporting RAP Clinical Supervisors involved in the assessment and supervision of University of Adelaide Physiotherapy students, including providing mentorship, training, resources, and support with university placement processes as required.
Ensuring all University of Adelaide Physiotherapy students have access to appropriate clinical education and support mechanisms while on placement in RAP settings.
Provide leadership in the ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement of clinical education in RAP settings, including conducting and facilitating quality evaluation of clinical placements, clinical education activities / programs and relevant workforce/service initiatives in RAP.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
Broad clinical experience at a senior level in the physiotherapy management of patients with a wide range of illnesses and disabilities relevant to all rehabilitation areas.
Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, problem-solving, resourcefulness and innovation in a changing workplace.
Extensive experience in the supervision of PT students, including managing students with diverse needs, experience and competency levels.
