Risk Management team in CBA is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.
Risk Management also ensures the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on those credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks.

Risk Management invests circa $100m annually in change initiatives to deliver Risk Management's strategic priorities. Risk Management also has a significant voice in the overall Group's $1.8b investment spend.
Risk Strategic Portfolio (RSP) forms part of the Risk Management Support Unit, supporting the Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO) to manage the investment and deliver against Risk Management's strategic priorities in the most effective way.

Do work that matters:
As a Senior Business Analyst within RSP, you will lead and guide Risk Management to focus on what matters by ensuring a shared understanding of the problem/opportunity and the business value-at-stake. You will uplift Risk Management capability by helping to define a way forward to deliver strategic change and benefits realisation.

Develop a shared understanding of the problem/opportunity, business value-at-stake and business objectives in collaboration with key business and technology stakeholders.

Perform current state analysis of business capabilities spanning across the Risk Management function to identify and quantify opportunities and/or deficiencies in policy and framework; governance and controls; operational processes and systems; and reporting and modelling.

Synthesise current state analysis and validate insights and hypotheses with key stakeholders;

Develop business requirements and target state definition with key stakeholders to inform business solution design.

Maintain oversight and traceability of requirements through to implementation.

Develop and maintain Business Analysis collateral including business context diagrams, process maps, entity relationship diagrams, requirements documentation, target operating models, key reference materials, and artefacts developed for effective Business Analysis outcomes.

Support RSP and initiative leads with prioritisation, planning and delivery decisions.

Support RSP and initiative leads with business case preparation including scope definition; value hypotheses; benefits identification and quantification; cost estimation; and project planning.
We are interested in hearing from people who have:

Experience in risk management or a strong genuine interest in risk management.

Experience in ideation phases of complex change initiatives.

Experience in complex analysis and structured problem solving.

Degree in banking, business analytics, engineering, risk management or technology - desirable
