Job Title: Midwife (Direct Entry or Dual Registered)
Location: Regional NSW (5 hours north of Sydney or a 1-hour flight)
Contract Duration: 4-12 weeks, starting as soon as 8/04
Facility Overview: Join the team in a well-equipped facility offering comprehensive healthcare services. The facility accommodates a 20-bed emergency department, 108 inpatient beds, including 20 maternity beds, 16 ICU/HDU beds, and 19 pediatric beds.
Job Description: We are seeking passionate and dedicated Midwives to join our team on a contract basis. Whether you are a Direct Entry Midwife or Dual Registered Midwife, if you have a commitment to excellence in maternity care, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their babies in accordance with best practice guidelines.
- Support women in making informed decisions about their care options.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Provide education and support to new parents, facilitating a smooth transition to parenthood.
Requirements:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Midwife.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a registered midwife.
- Demonstrated experience in providing midwifery care across the continuum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a dynamic healthcare environment.
