Pay: $27.58ph - $31.06ph

As an Educator you will be a team player, collaborating with the Senior Educators and Educational Leader within your centre to observe, inform and continuously improve our educational programs on offer to children. You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and respond to the needs of all children.
About Goodstart Rockingham:
Goodstart Rockingham is located 47 km south-south-west of Perth on the Whadjuk and Binjareb land of the Nyoongar people. Goodstart Early Learning Rockingham is a warm, welcoming centre that places emphasis on the natural environment. From learning environments flooded with natural light to spaces and a playground that provides opportunities for children to learn as they explore, discover, and imagine, Goodstart Rockingham holds a great appreciation and connection to its natural environments.
Providing opportunities to explore outcomes associated with creativity, initiative and resilience, the natural environments encourage children to take considered risks in decision making, develop friendships, conduct experiments and nurture wild imaginations.
Each learning environment has been designed with children at the forefront, with opportunities to explore, learn and grow in respectful ways. Our learning environments provide children opportunities and support throughout play to solve problems, make enquiries and engage in critical thinking. Our learning environments at Goodstart Rockingham are inspired by a holistic approach, where educators see children’s learning as interconnected and integrated. Goodstart Rockingham also places emphasis on the relationships between children, families and the community and highlights the importance of mutual, respectful relationships and partnerships for learning.
Our centre offers care for children from the age of six weeks up until five years as we celebrate, honour and welcome children, families and educators from a diverse range of nationalities. Educators at Goodstart Rockingham understand the importance of developing secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships and we use a key educator approach in each of our rooms. Throughout nurturing and responsive relationships, educators create opportunities and moments for children to feel respected, valued and develop confidence. Our responsive and respectful learning relationships are strengthened over time as children and educators have the opportunity to learn together and share moments of respect, trust and decision making.
At Goodstart Rockingham we encourage healthy eating and our menus, based on a whole food approach to nutrition, offer a variety of meals that are sweetened by honey or maple syrup, have no added salt, and are flavoured by a wide range of herbs and spices.
Goodstart Rockingham delivers a high quality of care and provides an environment that enables young children to grow and learn comfortably, confidently and easily each day.

You’ll need:

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)

Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards

Current Western Australia Working with Children Check
