This part-time (either 3 days a week or 5 days, school hours) Safety Coordinator position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to professionally learn and grow within the field of workplace safety. As a pivotal member of our team, you'll gain invaluable experience and knowledge, working closely with our Safety Advisor to enhance safety initiatives across our operations in Western Australia. As an HSEQ Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to excellence in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards. Here's what you can expect:
Support and enhance workplace safety by coordinating and administering all safety-Enhance workplace safety by collaborating with the Safety Advisor, contributing to the coordination of safety initiatives and guidance across our Western Australian operations.
Conduct risk assessments and audits, identifying potential hazards and documenting process improvements, to fortify workplace safety.
Ensure contractor safety compliance through careful monitoring and documentation, adhering to our strict contractor management standards.
Accurately manage safety records in DoneSafe, supporting our safety goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Investigate incidents, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to prevent future occurrences, with a focus on improving safety measures.
Coordinate return-to-work programs, prioritizing employee well-being in Western Australia with organized and supportive processes
Who you are:
Certificate IV Health Safety qualified.
Proven experience in across HSEQ within a high-risk industry (waste management, environmental or industrial services industries are highly desirable)
Understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards (e.g. ISO 45000).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
