At Talenza, we are partnered with a Queensland Government client in finding an experienced Enterprise Architect on an initial 3 month contract, with extensions.
Our client is managing a large number of major projects across the ICT infrastructure, applications, and biomedical domains. In addition, our client is currently developing its digital and data strategy, including the technology modernisation roadmap.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the development of the department's technology modernisation roadmap.
- Guide current projects to ensure high value work and alignment with the future direction of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will not only possess strong technical skills across the three domains mentioned above, but will also be outcome focused, and able to quickly understand the agency culture and capability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development of the technology modernisation roadmap across the following domains: ICT infrastructure, applications, and biomedical, with a view to help define the digital program of work and guide business and ICT related investment decisions.
- Contribute to the development of the ICT strategic direction by leading the development and maintenance of appropriate frameworks, roadmaps and future focussed migration plans that detail the target architectures, support the ongoing architectural vision, and align ICT activities.
- Inform the definition of ICT initiatives to implement the department's digital strategy and the principles, policies and standards to be applied in maintaining the integrity, security and sustainability of the IM/ICT environment as it progresses from the current to future state.
- Partner with other Queensland Government agencies to provide a common approach to Enterprise Architecture.
- Identify industry trends and strategic directions including but not limited to, information systems, security and infrastructure management
Mandatory qualifications / professional registrations / other role requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Enterprise Architect roles, or similar transferable experience
- Experience working with ICT infrastructure, commercial off the shelf and/or bespoke software applications, and biomedical technology solutions desirable
