Launch is working with one of the NSW Govt Departments who are looking for an experienced Finance and Reporting Manager to join their team
About the roleIn this role you will be an experienced Finance and Reporting Manager working to support the financial management of the organisation.
The role is paying up to $82.00 + super per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document the Financial operational processes and procedures.
- Leading a small team of direct and indirect reports in financial management, accounting and external reporting, internal accounting systems and processes in line with NSW Treasury policies.
- Approve financial statement, returns and reports including briefs and proposals in terms of current and forecasting position across the group.
- Work with internal stakeholders including Audit Risk and Compliance teams, and other Government agencies within that cluster.
- Maintain finance reporting framework.
- Liaise with key senior financial stakeholders up to CFO level to report on budgeting and consult on overall financial performance of organisation.
- At least 7-10 years experience working in a similar role.
- CPA, CA or other Financial qualifications required.
- Strong finance reporting experience leading small teams.
- Strong experience in financial risk management and budget reporting.
- Ability to manage competing objectives to reach both finance and business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence and liaise with senior peers up to C-level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Great exposure to working in a Government cluster which could open further doors down the track.
- Flexible working model with 2 days WFH and 3 in the office.
