Job description:We’re excited to be partnering with one of Australia's largest suppliers of industrial and safety equipment - who have grown significantly over the last few years.
Through continued growth, they are on the lookout for an experienced Product Manager to join their team, specialising in the hydraulic components category, to report into the national category manager.
Role Summary:
The Product Manager is an integral position within the business. The role involves modifying existing products or creating entirely new ones to meet newly identified customer needs or market niches. Decision-making is informed by the analysis of category data, providing support for the development and execution of category plans. This includes ensuring the appropriate sourcing, supply, and delivery of products, ultimately achieving the desired margin for our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and evaluate the feasability of proposed products and services
- Support the management and delivery of the category plan.
- Marketing competitive pricing on all products - focus on the core range products
- Working with suppliers to become market leader through speed to market NPD introduction
- Monitor market trends and in consultation with market analytics, identifying trends and leveraging these into our clients range
- Nurture relationships with key customers and other key stakehoolders both internally and externally
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Product Manager role will have a forward-thinking mindset, a knack for innovation, and a thorough understanding of the technicalities of product development. They’ll have come from a mechanical engineering background, ideally with experience within the mining industry outdoor and leisure, or consumer goods manufacturer and will have extensive end to end product management experience.
The Product Manager will be commercially minded and able to communicate and effectively influence cross-collaboration between stakeholders in the business.
