The Opportunity
We have a fantastic 12-month opportunity for an experienced and high energy Executive Assistant to join our multi-award-winning organisation, working as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor.
As the Executive Assistant, you will manage the administrative functions of the Office of the Mayor, providing secretarial and project support.
What you will be doing:
Managing the efficient operations of the Mayor’s office, including the provision of professional customer service.
Providing confidential and professional administrative support to the Mayor, including diary management and meetings coordination.
Efficiently managing the Mayor’s correspondence, including researching background information and drafting appropriate responses to correspondence.
Forming constructive and productive relationships with the Executive team, Managers, and internal/external stakeholders.

About You: The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will possess Certificate IV in Business Administration or demonstrated work experience relevant to the role; experience working in a political environment with sensitive and confidential information; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to use sound judgment and discretion; and high level of research, analytical and writing skills.
You will also possess a high degree of initiative, energy and enthusiasm; and a proven ability to successfully interact with people at all levels.

Temporary full-time position for 12 months, 35 hours per week
Monthly rostered day off
Weekly salary of $1392.54 to $1567.32 (plus 11% superannuation)
