About the opportunity
As our Retail Postage Sorter , you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.
Role Details:
- Permanent Part Time, 12 hours per week between Monday to Friday 7:00am - 10:00am
- Supportive on the job training for the first 12 weeks
- Hourly rate of $26.00 per hour, increasing to $29.74 per hour after training (Junior rates apply during training for those under 21)
- Potential for additional customer service relief duties
You’ll be:
- Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace
- Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes
- Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
- Assisting with some PSO duties on the counter
About you
You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously. You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community. You'll also need to:
- Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting
- Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift
