THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Concentrate Logistics Officer is a key member of our operations team, primarily responsible for assisting the Concentrate Logistics Coordinator with activities relating to the Concentrate Logistics supply chain. This role involves a variety of tasks including inventory management, transportation, storage of product and sampling.
This is a permanent full-time position that operates on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform the assigned sampling of stockpiles, including preparation of samples using metallurgical laboratory equipment.
Quality control and reporting of all routine sampling and other relevant data to ensure accurate data is maintained and reported in a timely manner.
Support the Concentrate Logistics Coordinator where necessary, including Identifying efficiency improvements throughout the concentrate logistics value chain.
Perform leave coverage for the duties of the Concentrate Logistics Coordinator accurately and efficiently.
Physically inspect and ensure the quality of bulk product prior to dispatch.
Operate forklifts in a safe and controlled manner to load trucks with bulk product.
Comply with all safety procedures and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
ABOUT YOU:
Current C class driver’s license.
Forklift licence
Previous logistics experience
Attention to detail
Commitment to safety
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical fitness to meet the demands of physical work.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A team player and willing to work autonomously
Flexible approach and attitude
Pass pre-employment medical and DAS testing
