About the Role

This role is all about people – collaborating with stakeholders, nurturing partnerships, and driving projects that make a real difference. The Procurement Coordinator is at the forefront of LHG’s procurement and contract management activities, playing a vital role in shaping our organisation's success, providing comprehensive financial insights and conducting rigorous analysis.

Additionally, the Procurement Coordinator plays a crucial role in developing corporate partnerships and driving commercially based projects, contributing to LHG's operational excellence and long-term success. This role goes beyond traditional procurement functions; it's about building relationships, driving innovation, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for LHG.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select vendors and suppliers through compliant processes, ensuring pricing aligns with budgetary goals.
  • Lead contract negotiations, maintain contract databases, and enforce guidelines for compliance.
  • Manage fleet procurement, servicing, and disposal, including handling insurance claims.
  • Enhance procurement function, analyse supplier proposals for cost-effectiveness, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management, commerce, or related fields, or equivalent experience – Preferred .
  • Membership of a procurement or commerce-related profession – Desirable .
  • Strong negotiation skills, including effective articulation of negotiation strategies.
  • Ability to think strategically and optimize processes through IT systems.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities for stakeholder engagement.
  • Experienced in coordinating, and delivering contracts.
  • Experience in establishing strong supplier relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in aged care – Desirable .

Candidates may be subject to requiring current NDIS worker clearance. In accordance with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
