We are seeking an International Engagement Officer who will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities in line with the City’s Economic Development Strategy and providing a central point to facilitate the monitoring and delivery of the Council’s Sister City Program and activities, and international relations activities conducted by the City.
This position will ensure activities are strategically driven and economic and diplomatic opportunities are maximised, particularly in dealings with overseas governments and organisations.
As the International Engagement Officer, this position will support the City by:
- Planning, delivering and implementing programs and initiatives relating to the City of Perth international engagement activities including budget and business planning processes.
- Assisting with coordination, logistics and delivery of inbound and outbound international delegations and visits.
- Preparing and providing information analysis and advice regarding international engagement activities, including correspondence, briefing material, presentations, relevant policies and speech notes.
- Developing and maintaining relationships and networks with relevant contacts and stakeholders including representatives from Sister Cities, Industry Groups and State and Federal Government agencies.
