Industry Skills Advisory Council NT (ISACNT) is an independent not-for-profit organisation that provides advice and gathers intelligence on training package development, workforce development, skills shortages and workforce solutions in the Northern Territory. The purpose of ISACNT is to increase industry capability and capacity across the Northern Territory

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing Manager to manage all marketing, advertising, promotional activities, events and communications across the organisation. The Marketing Manager will provide support and advice and coordination of, all media, web and brand management, sponsorship, strategic marketing, the 2024 VET Careers Expo and other special projects, and internal and external communication. The position is also responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy and budget for the organisation and supporting internal departments with their marketing and promotional needs. As required, the Marketing Manager will represent ISACNT at relevant conferences, committees and industry forums.

Specific Duties

  • Implement effective marketing, communications and media strategies that deliver the organisation's strategic engagement objectives.
  • Coordinate and participate in external marketing and promotional activities such as school presentations, launches, communication and marketing campaigns, publications, shows and exhibitions, providing advice and information on all services.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget on behalf of the department, including preparing and monitoring the budget, approving expenses, making appropriate reallocations, and reporting on outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with an external network, including clients, schools, alumni groups, and stakeholders, to enhance service provision.
  • Manages operational and administrative functions to ensure event life cycle is delivered efficiently and effectively. Ensures the event aligns with the company's overall marketing strategy.
  • Prepare a wide range of innovative marketing, communications, and media collateral for diverse audiences (government, service providers and potential clients).
  • Identify and manage all sponsorship opportunities.
  • Develop and manage all major events across the organisation.
  • Conduct proof-reading, branding, and preparation of all public marketing material.
  • Analyse data and develop strategies for best practices and future growth.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities as required.
  • Participate as an active member of the Australian Institute of Marketing.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports and other documentation as required by the Chief Executive Officer or Operations Manager.
  • This role includes overseeing one of the two ISACNT Business Trainees.

Essential Criteria

  • Completion of a Diploma or Bachelor of Marketing or Public Relations Management and subsequent relevant experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver marketing, communications, and media outcomes to meet strategic objectives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to synthesise material.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work to a deadline whilst maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with sound professional judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality marketing, communications, and media output in a range of formats for varying audiences and channels.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a budget.

Licences/Tickets

  • Current NT C-Class Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children's Clearance
  • National Police Check Clearance

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of the Northern Territory and National goals and current developments in Vocational Education and Training (VET).
  • Qualifications in an associated discipline.
