The Opportunity
Thiess has an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer at Curragh North.
As our next Reliability Engineer, working a 9 day fortnight, responsibilities will include -
Taking the lead in enhancing reliability within the maintenance team by assessing the performance of all operational assets and executing asset improvement initiatives.
Scope, design, manage and implement site engineering projects within the mobile maintenance planning department.
Provide technical support to site operations performing failure analysis investigations and the review of relevant systems and procedures.
Enhance asset availability through component condition monitoring and trending, defect reporting, root cause analysis and fleet management system data.
Assist in the organisation and facilitating of risk assessments for all maintenance activities on site.
Reviewing maintenance strategies for statutory conformance and provide recommendations where amendments are required to improve reliability.
Mentor and guide future vacation and graduate engineers in their development whilst on site.
About you
Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar position
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar desirable but not essential
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Proven knowledge of budget, time and outcomes within planning and design
Extensive knowledge of maintenance strategy development and problem solving
