Are you passionate about mediation and helping people in dispute to find resolution?An opportunity exists to coordinate the dispute resolution services of the Far North Queensland Dispute Resolution Centre, including the management of court and tribunal referred disputes, community mediation and workplace and organisational disputes. The Coordinator supervises a local Intake Officer and pool of casual mediators.
The Dispute Resolution Branch (DRB) is an innovative state-wide program, tasked with delivering accessible, low-cost, fair and timely non-adversarial dispute resolution services to the Queensland community. These services are provided in accordance with the Dispute Resolution Centres Act 1990 .
The four service streams include Civil mediation, Adult Restorative Justice Conferencing, Child Protection Conferencing and Training services. The DRB provides these services across Queensland via six dispute resolution centres and comprises approximately 40 staff and a pool of 100 casual mediators.
The Dispute Resolution Centre Coordinator supervises the delivery of high quality dispute resolution services in collaboration with colleagues and and stakeholders. DRB staff report high job satisfaction in the delivery of services that directly and positively impact their local community. Our nationally accredited mediators and staff are dedicated and passionate about assisting our clients to find resolution and reach agreement.
