Description:
Hello there!
We’re Anonymous Wine Freight, and we’re adding to our pool of delivery drivers in Sydney to deliver in the Sydney CBD.
Please note, you will be required to have a station wagon or a van. Please do not apply if you have a sedan, hatchback, ute or suv. Only station wagons and vans can park in loading zones in the city.
We’re a freight company who specialise in shipping wine interstate, and we’re damn good at what we do. Our customers love us because we take great care of their wine, communicate with them, and we hustle to keep wine going places!
I want to be a delivery driver. What does my day look like?
You’ll start each day at our depot in Ultimo. From there, you’ll load up your car with all the delivery jobs that have been assigned to you, and you’ll hit the road – following a pre-set route. After your run you will return to the warehouse and help load the interstate vans with your other team members.
How many shifts can I work?
We deliver Tuesday to Friday, and we operate between 10.00am and 6.00pm. You can work each day if you wish (the more, the merrier!), but if you’ve got other commitments (for example, you’re studying, a parent, you volunteer, you’re in a band) we can pre-set your schedule in advance and only roster you on days that you’re available.
What do I need?
You must have access to your own roadworthy van or station wagon and know your way around a smartphone. We use some pretty cool software to make delivering easy and efficient, and we’ll show you how to use it.
Comfortable driving in the CBD and using one of our commercial vans (2T) when required.
You don’t need delivery experience to succeed in this role – but you do need to be reliable, friendly, have a killer work ethic and a positive attitude that puts Elle Woods to shame.
You also need to be fit – a box of wine can weigh up to 16kg, and you’ll lift and carry a lot of them. We recommend you use a trolley to complete deliveries, but you’ll still need to be comfortable doing repetitive lifting.
What’s the pay?
Pay rates as per the Road Transport Award (MA000038) apply. This means you’ll be paid a base rate (not $-per-delivery), with any relevant penalties attached. We also reimburse your fuel (per kilometre travelled on shift) and any tolls that you might incur while you’re on the clock.
Sound good?
Great. We can't wait to meet you!
