Catering Manager-Clelland LodgeWe are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Manager to run our busy kitchen, providing a customer-centred focus with quality and nutritious dining for our elderly residents.This position is responsible for providing a varied and nutritional food service, which meets the needs of the aged residents within the residential aged care setting in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and guidelines ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.We want someone with passion and innovation who thrives in a team environment and can lead a small, friendly and efficient catering team. You will be well-supported by a central head office and you will be reporting directly to the Manager of Residential ServicesPermanent - Full Time position, 38 hours per week at Clelland LodgeYour contribution counts - focused initiatives to reward and recognise our teamsSalary packaging - increased take home pay through salary packaging including novated leasing optionsBirthday leave - take time to celebrate with your friends and familyUniform ProvidedYour ContributionEnsuring compliance with Accreditation Outcomes to ensure that meals are varied and of suitable quality and quantity.Preparing and cooking quality meals as indicated by the menu using documented and standardised recipes where available, in accordance with the Fresh Hope Communities Food Safety Program.Implementing and monitoring safe food handling practices and quality catering programs, ensuring compliance with policy and procedures as detailed in the Fresh Hope Communities Food Safety Program.Ensuring that all internal and external audits and temperature control checks are completed, recorded and monitored for risk and includes strict compliance to the organisation's Food Safety Program.Ensuring that all kitchen and servery paperwork is correct and completed in accordance with food safety program requirements.Monitoring catering services to ensure appropriate portion control, visual appeal, etc. of meals served.Liaising with residents and their families/representative, stakeholders, Government agencies; and positively promote Fresh Hope Communities.Proactively contribute to the development of a collaborative, high-engagement, high-communication team culture focused on resident-centred careThe EssentialsCertificate IV, Associate Diploma or Diploma in commercial cookery or equivalent demonstrated competency.Experience in implementing a varied and nutritional menu including special dietary needs within the commercial setting.Knowledge of evidence based best practice, relevant catering aged care and activity programsCompletion of a HACCP course.Written and oral communication skills.Previous experience as a Hospitality Coordinator (desirable).Must be able to provide evidence of Covid-19 Vaccination or Covid-19 Vaccination Exemption, and current National Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care (or willing to obtain) are essential.About Us Fresh Hope Communities exists to create spaces that cultivate belonging and places that feel like home.
