The Opportunity : We are offering a part-time (3 days per week) 12-month contract position, working in a hybrid environment, with a diverse team of people who have come together because we share a common goal to inspire positive change.
Joining the finance team, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to support the finance function in performing a range of accounting and financial management tasks in accordance with our processes and standards.
As a member of our finance team, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with month end reporting, including posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations,
- Performing balance sheet and daily bank reconciliations
- Liaising with debtors , raising invoices and managing receipting
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Assisting the Financial Controller in the preparation of quarterly BAS returns and year-end external audit process
- Assist with quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting
- Responding to enquiries and requests for information from internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Accounting/Finance
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a similar role and environment.
- Proficiency in accounting packages (Sage Intacct ideally, however not essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including advanced Excel.
- Strong financial literacy and demonstrated integrity in relation to confidentiality and professional and ethical obligations
- Clear communication skills and proven experience building effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Time management skills paired with an ability to self-manage competing priorities, tasks and projects effectively
