Description:
As the Key Account Manager, you will oversee the development of market-focused strategies designed to grow their key customers and deliver exceptional service levels. In addition, you will represent the customer's voice in their efforts to develop new products through innovation.
What you will do:
- Understand your key account's value proposition and partner with them to consistently achieve sales targets
- Use professional sales strategies and tools to maintain and grow your business
- In conjunction with the Sales Manager, ensure a solid Opportunity pipeline, Promotional plan and Account plan is developed for your key accounts
- Use the account planning processes to identify and manage multiple customer stakeholders, positioning your key accounts for profitable growth and jointly develop new products
- Grow customer relationships to achieve trusted technical advisor status at key customers
- Understand our customers end markets, sales strategies, and channels
- Identify and recommend growth strategies based on customer and market experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to the key accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential
- 3+ year in a sales Key Account Manager role
- Experience in selling premium products and/or services
- Marketing or product management experience preferred but not essential
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support customer meetings, trade shows, trainings, conferences and events
- Experience in negotiating and closing high value projects inclusive of financial due diligence, terms and conditions and purchase contracts
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software focused on detailed opportunity, forecasting and outlook for sales responsibility
- Formal sales training and experience working with one or more complex sales methodologies
- Excellent time management, prioritisation abilities and project management
- Be a permanent resident or have permanent work rights
Conditions:
This role reports to the Sales Manager and is a remote-based role and can be supported with an office location in Melbourne or Sydney if desired. The company offers a very competitive salary, car allowance, attractive bonus scheme, and superannuation.
