Job Description
Our client offers customised ICT solutions from design and solution consultation to fabrication, implementation and delivery of modular ICT infrastructure.
They are seeking two skilled Press Brake Operators to join their sheet metal manufacturing team.
Responsibilities :
- Set up, operate, and program press brake machines to bend, fold, and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production orders.
- Select appropriate tooling and set up the press brake for each job.
- Input programs and adjust machine parameters using the press brake controller.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure the quality and accuracy of produced parts.
- Inspect finished products to verify conformance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of press brake machines
Hours :
- Monday to Friday - 40.5+ hours
- 2pm close on Fridays
- Saturday work as required
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience as a Press Brake Operator in the sheet metal industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of press brake machine setup, operation, and programming.
- Ability to program (BEND CAM) and adjust press brake machines using the controller interface.
- Basic CAD training and familiarity with CAD software.
- Excellent mathematical skills and understanding of measurements and dimensions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
