Description:
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to:-
- Hit the ground running with employment matters.
- Prepare court documents including pleadings and submissions.
- Prepare evidence.
- Be an effective advocate, including appearing in courts and tribunals, representing clients and negotiate effectively with other solicitors.
- Interpret contracts and draft deeds of settlement and release.
- Undertake research at an efficient pace and with an analytical mind.
- Work across multiple industries.
- Communicate exceptionally well and build relationships.
- Effectively scope matters including preparing costs proposals.
- Manage client demands and expectations in an empathetic manner.
- Work well under pressure and with conflicting priorities.
- Have a proactive approach to project management of your matters.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years post admission experience working in employment law.
- Admission to practice in the ACT.
- A self-starter with a friendly, pro-active team approach.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong client service focus.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritise to manage competing priorities & timelines.
- A commercial mindset.
