Project Kuiper, to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that provides low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world?

It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for a Senior Application Engineer to design and build the businesses finance system with TM1 at its core. You will manage all aspects from requirements gathering, technical design, development, deployment, and integration to solve budgeting, planning, performance management and reporting challenges.

This role will provide you with the perfect opportunity for you to test your TM1 development and consulting expertise and expand your skillset into data engineering with the AWS stack, Python and TM1Py.


Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement of next generation financial solutions based on a wide array of technologies with TM1 in its core.
- Manage AWS resources including EC2, RDS, Redshift, Stepfunctions, EMR, Lambda etc.
- Build and deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines to support customer reporting needs.
- Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
- Collaborate with business users, development teams, and operation engineering teams to tackle business requirements and deliver against high operational standards of system availability and reliability
- Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns and suggesting fixes.
- Prepare runbooks, methods of procedures, tutorials, training videos on best practices for the team
- Build and enhance software to extend system, application, or tool functionality to improve business processes and meet end user needs while working within the overall system architecture.

Requirements:

- 8+ years of IBM Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics experience.
- TM1 technical skills: Rules and TI coding, security setup, report development, ongoing maintenance of existing models.
- TM1 soft skills: gathering requirements for new projects, providing user training.
- Experience as a Data Engineer or in a consulting role.
- Experience with writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Finance experience exhibiting knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting functions and processes.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, building reports connected to TM1
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related discipline- Demonstrated history of problem solving, financial acumen, and business collaborating skills.
- Experience in design and optimization of data-processing systems using AWS services (S3, EMR, Lambda, Glue, Athena, SNS, Cloud Watch, Redshift, Aurora/RDS).
- Experience with a programming language like Python, Java, shell scripts.
- Familiarity with other IBM software products, including Command Center.
- Experience with design & delivery of formal training curriculum and programs.
- Project management, scoping, reporting, and scheduling experience.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related discipline.
