Job Description
We are seeking an Operational Manager to join our Contracts department. This is a full-time, office-based permanent position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced team environment.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Management of the day-to-day transport operations and supervising a team of Operations Officers and each of the KPIs that they're responsible for.
- Coordinating a large vehicle fleet, ensuring that the fleet is working efficiently across the metropolitan area to enable all pickups and deliveries to be performed in full and on time.
- Assisting the Department Manager in providing leadership, support and guidance to the team and minimise client attrition by providing superior service.
- Being informed of laws and legislations that govern the industry and policy changes that affect your department and implementing them.
Skills
- Transport experience preferred, especially in the permanent vehicle space.
- Proven leadership experience in a similar managerial role.
- Powerful and effective communicator.
- Solutions and analytical based mindset.
