About K9 and Co Adventure Camp

K9 and Co Adventure Camp is a dog daycare that places a strong emphasis on proven enrichment methods and utilises The Dog Guru’s “Daycare 2.0” method. If normal doggy daycare is like ‘recess’, Daycare 2.0 is like a full day of school, with targeted learning opportunities and a focus on activities that stimulate dogs five senses.

K9 and Co Adventure Camp Brisbane is colocated with but separate to the Brisbane Boarding Kennels and Cattery in Narangba.

About You

Do you love animals, especially dogs - but understand that loving dogs means more than just cuddling them?

Do you like a hands-on role that keeps you active and on your feet, works your brain in new ways, and allows you to get a little dirty?

Are you committed to improving dogs' lives through science-backed enrichment, training and play?

Are you a reliable person with a good work ethic, a can-do attitude and a positive outlook?

Do you stay calm under pressure, especially when negotiating with key stakeholders?

If this is you…. read on!

About the Role

K9 and Co Adventure Camp is expanding its Brisbane operation and is hiring Junior and Senior K9 Happiness Officers (KHOs).

As the job title suggests, you aren't simply a kennel hand or daycare team member: you are an Officer responsible for delivering K9 and Co's full day-to-day daycare operations.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining our yard, pool and office premises so that our staff and pooches play, learn and rest in a safe, clean and hygienic environment
  • Using Gingr software to administer customer (human and canine) accounts and bookings
  • Processing payments accurately
  • Providing exemplary service to drive customer success, including responding to customer emails and feedback
  • Running daycare using the Daycare 2.0 method. This includes, but is not limited to, managing pack play through socialisation and rotation of groups; coordinating, overseeing and performing enrichment activities and group training; providing recommendations to customers about enrichment and other training that might benefit their dog
  • Assessing and writing report cards for all dogs
  • Performing social media duties including creating engaging photo and video content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok

Qualifications and experience in daycare and/or kennelling are highly desirable - but fret not if you're in another industry and looking for a change. If the role description interests you and you're ready to commit to providing safe, quality care to a growing pack of pooches, then we want to hear from you!

Employer questions

Your application will include the following questions:
  • Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
