Our client is a highly reputable, industry leader with close to 40 years of experience in the Accounting, Advisory and Consultancy sector. Operating in South Australia and Regional Victoria, they are renowned for delivering high quality results for their client’s time and time again. Standing the test of time, they have developed strong business disciplines to assist their clients in all management, accounting, bookkeeping and tax advice which has allowed them to continually grow and develop over 35 years.

This is a perfect role for an accountant to gain valuable experience across a multiple of disciplines in the field and not be restricted to one area. Our clients value and see us as their key stakeholder in growing their business, and my client is looking for and accountant who shares in this philosophy beyond just the numbers. 

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field or higher.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar field.

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
  • Looking after accounts payable and receivable and staff reimbursements accurately according to the accounting and financial policies and procedures.
  • Daily reconciliations and resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Manage accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Preparing Cash Flow Statement, and Reconciliation Statement
  • Preparing annual GST Returns, Business Activity Statement, and Payroll Tax.
  • Organizing, meet deadlines, think quickly, and multitasking
  • Proficient understanding of payroll compliance, legislation, taxation, and superannuation. 
  • Calculation and processing of termination payments when required and deliver timely and accurate payment of employee salaries.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities
