River City Sewing Machine Centre is a destination store for creative people with a love or passion for sewing, embroidery, craft, quilting, and creating with fabrics. We are recruiting for a part-time experienced Human Resources position. This role will manage our existing and future staff members in all aspects of Human Resources management including rostering, recruiting and managment in liason with store owners. This role also includes responsibility for the implementaion and compliance of all aspects of our digital staff mangement software and payroll management systems. Human resources experience is essential for this role. As this role involves management of our team, there are an array of essential characteristics that we look for. These include: Experience working within a family owned business. Great people management skills. Attention to compliance Keeping accurate and detailed records Being motivated to find the best outcomes for our owners and team members.

Qualifications & experience

• Must have current experience with Employment Hero and Payroll Hero programs both implementation and maintenance.
• At least 3 years experience in Human Resources.
• Experience in recruitment.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Undertaking regular staff performance reviews
• Ensuring compliance with awards and pay rates
• Maintaining records and electronic HR and Payroll systems
• Rostering
• Preparing weekly or fortnightly payroll for approval
• Complete and implement position descriptions and assess and recruit new team members as required.
