River City Sewing Machine Centre is a destination store for creative people with a love or passion for sewing, embroidery, craft, quilting, and creating with fabrics.  

We are recruiting for an additional retail sales team member.  This role is responsible for selling a variety of sewing machines, and related creative products, driving sales through advanced product knowledge, excellent customer service, and providing a complete sewing experience for our customers.   We are looking for a long-term employee that is keen to rise through with us to greater responsibility levels in our team.

Retail sales experience is essential for this role.  

An interest in craft, sewing, quilting or craft would be an advantage but not essential for the right person. 

The scope of duties includes the customer retail sales and service elements, plus a wider series of tasks, working with our team to complete the day-to-day operations of our store, and taking direction from our Store Manager and Management team as required to continually improve our customer experience, inspire our customers with information and products and expand our business going forward.

As this role involves assisting our customers, as well as working in a small team, there are an array of essential characteristics that we look for.  These include:
