Role responsibilities

Provide advice, leadership, coaching and mentoring to operational staff as required in line with company values

  • Participate in an audit program to ensure process, legislation and practices are complied with
  • Conduct incident investigations including ICAM / Taproot style investigations.
  • Create content for site inductions and deliver these inductions to employees, visitors and subcontractors
  • Drive and close out actions and opportunities for improvement through to fruition.
  • Communicating and consulting with workers to promote a healthy, safe workplace culture and reporting culture.
  • Create Reports from the HSE system for data analysis
  • Assessing compliance with company and client systems and expectations,
  • Maintain and manage emergency procedures.
  • Assisting with the coordination of the Injury Management process for the people upon your site/s, maintain employee relationships and return to work programs
  • Ensuring project execution is undertaken safely to the required standards, quality and schedule.
  • Ensure company compliance with legislative safety requirements and industry practices.
  • Identify improvements to safety processes.
  • Monitor and review protective and preventative safety measures.
  • Carry out risk assessments to determine how risk can be reduced.
  • Conduct random & just cause Drug & Alcohol testing.
  • Develop and assist to facilitate Pre-start, Toolbox and other site required group meetings.
  • Ensure correct disposal procedures for hazardous operational waste are in place.
  • Attend and conduct HSE incident investigations as required.
  • Advise Cape personnel regarding HSEQ responsibilities and processes.
  • Compliance with any and all statutory, regulatory, governance and legislative requirements without exception
