Position: Bus Driver and Program Support
Hours: Minimum 16 hours per week; up to 38 hours per week for the right candidate
Type: Part-time

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated bus driver to join our team at Burnett Youth Learning Centre. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our students. For the right candidate, this position could also be expanded to provide program support both in and out of the classroom. Your commitment to Christian values and your passion for serving others will be integral to our mission of empowering students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a school bus, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transit
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the bus
• Assist students with boarding and disembarking the bus
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating Christian values and principles in all interactions

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (LR or higher) with a suitable driving record
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) 
• Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safety
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient demeanour, particularly when working with youth
• Qualifications or experience in Teacher Aide or Youth Work is highly desirable
