We are currently searching for multiple Data Engineers for 3 month initial contracts.  The roles are hybrid and located in Central Sydney

Duties of the role

• Data Pipeline Development: build and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines that extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources (databases, APIs, logs, files) into data warehouses or data lakes. This involves using tools like Azure DevOps, DataBricks, Delta Lake, Synapse and Power BI Premium 
• Data Modeling and Architecture: Designing and implementing data models that support business requirements and analytical needs. This includes schema design, normalization/denormalization, and optimisation for performance and scalability.
• Busines requirements gathering: Proficiently gather and document comprehensive business requirements through stakeholder engagement and analysis to drive successful project outcomes
• Data Quality and Governance: Implementing processes and tools to ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across the data lifecycle. This involves data profiling, cleansing, and establishing data quality metrics.
• Main technologies: Azure DevOps, DataBricks, Delta Lake, Synapse and Power BI Premium, PeopleSoft (desirable)
