Bakers Delight Belrose located at Glenrose Village is seeking a passionate baker with a positive attitude to work in a team to provide excellent baking service.

This is a Full-time position ( 38 hours per week) 

Salary range: $65,000- $70,000 per year + Super 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Proven baking experience
• Ability to work a rotating roster in our different shops
• Reliable transportation to start work at 2:00AM in the morning
• Passion for baking
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced/flexible environment
• Ability to deliver the best even under excessive working pressure

The responsibilities for this position will be:

• Verifying cleanliness, hygiene in compliance with industrial health and safety guidelines
• Verifying proper operation of all equipment before commencing the production process adhering to safety protocol
• Ensuring quality of raw materials and appropriate weight of the ingredients
• Assisting in product preparation and baking Implementing appropriate baking techniques.
• Baking and presenting quality product to meet changing customer needs
• Providing delightful customer service when required
• Coaching and supporting the development of Apprentices and Baker Assistants
• Assisting in cost control and reduction to achieve budgeted bakery profitability
• preparing pastry fillings
• Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing.
• Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
• Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products
• Kneading, mixing, dividing, cutting, moulding, and shaping dough and cut biscuits
• Ordering stock and stocktake
• Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
