With strong commitment to excellence and innovation, our client is a highly respected and trusted brand and deservedly seeks a highly credentialled and well-networked Executive General Manager (EGM)- Homes with a proven track to lead teams, with breadth across leading sales, operations , estimating, whilst building a high performance culture across a multi-site region.

This exciting opportunity will be based in either Central Victoria or the Bellarine Peninsula region, with an openness to a candidate relocating from either Metropolitan Melbourne or interstate.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, as EGM - Homes, you will be a pivotal member of the Executive Leadership Team, with full remit for the Homes Division leading a multi-site team. You will have full profit & loss responsibility and be responsible for driving sales growth and customer experience. In addition, you will be an innovative thinker with the skills to build and present business cases and maximise on new opportunities to grow the organisation's footprint.

Core focus areas for this leadership role are encompassed via the capabilities outlined below;

  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of products, sales processes, and market positioning.
  • Analysing the competitive landscape to identify tactical and strategic opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Collaborating with the executive leadership team to develop effective strategies that exceed targets.
  • Evaluating existing processes and teams to maximize results.
  • Demonstrating a hands-on, can-do approach with a clear vision for growth within a lean environment.
  • Making decisive decisions and driving rapid understanding through effective questioning.
  • Developing well-considered business cases and proposals to drive continuous improvement and growth.
  • Proficient with financial reporting and a well-rounded understanding of managing a full P/L business and associated cash flow management.
  • Significant workflow experience from a new home order including drafting; estimating; permits cycle and construction.
  • Manage and grow a Display Footprint.

Your Profile

You will be an engaging and accomplished EGM / General Manager, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth and leading high-performance teams within the Home Building, Building Materials, or Construction industry. You will need to be based in Bellarine Peninsula or Central Victoria.

You will bring extensive experience in senior roles within the volume residential home building sector with an intimate knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and deep industry networks and a trusted reputation. You will have demonstrable operational, commercial and sales experience with the ability to review and develop strategies around innovating into new markets to drive growth, combining strong financial, sales and IT skillsets with professional behaviour, communications standards, and general interpersonal skills.

You will possess the confidence to work decisively and autonomously, can inspire and lead teams within a multi-site business environment.

Critical success factors will be supported by excellence in the pillars listed below;

  • Demonstrated experience in opening new markets to drive growth.
  • Leadership experience at the GM level, overseeing construction, sales, and workflow teams across multiple locations.
  • Ability to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, work ethic, and camaraderie within your team.
