Ultimate Security Australia is a fast-growing security company providing end to end security service solutions to  large customer base (both residential and commercial) nationwide. Our services include Back to Base Alarm Monitoring (Grade A1), one-stop-shop E-Security provider (design up to installation), Mobile Patrols and Static Guards.

About the Role:

This is a Senior Accounts payable opportunity reporting to the Financial Controller (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm based at our Concord head office). You will be responsible for ensuring smooth continuation of the payables process and liaising with interstate stakeholder to ensure payment deadlines are met. We are looking for someone who is looking to take on the Accounts Payable function and autonomously streamline and improve the process. The role will involve high level customer service and business partnering with various internal and external stakeholders.

Invoice Management:

• Oversee the processing and verification of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for payments.

Payment Processing:

• Manage the end-to-end payment process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds to vendors.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Vendor Relations:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and building rapport.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and actively contribute to the implementation of improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounts payable processes.

Month-End Close:

• Contribute to month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliation of accounts payable accounts.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate insightful accounts payable reports for management, providing valuable financial insights.
• Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial reports as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 5 - 7 years’ experience as a Senior Accounts Payable Officer or Accounts payable Team Leader/Supervisor is a must.
• An Accounting qualification in Degree or equivalent level would be an advantage but experience in lieu will also be considered. 
• Experience using MYOB software.
• Stable career history.
• Clear Police record.
• Being able to prioritise and manage time effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
