About the role:

This hands-on role is the perfect opportunity for a dynamic and passionate leader to oversee a small team of employees living with disabilities. This role will coach and lead a diverse team to develop skills to produce our iconic Aussie Biscuits for Aruma's commercial customers. This is your chance to give back and play an integral part in changing the lives of our supported employees. You'll be part of a supportive and inclusive business enterprises team providing meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and lead production team, sharing knowledge to assist supported employees to develop skills to achieve their employment goals.
  • Provide supervision and feedback to team members through performance management with the support of the Supervisor/Coordinator.
  • Provide appropriate support to supported employees with a high level of empathy, sensitivity and confidentially.
  • Work closely and provide assistance to the Supervisor/Coordinator as necessary.
  • Display positive team behaviours that reflect the Aruma values, contributing to team results and outcomes.

About You:

  • A confident leader/supervisor with a positive attitude and strong communication skills to coordinate a small team.
  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
  • Demonstrate respect and empathy towards people with a disability with a passion to see them skilled for future employment opportunities.
  • Customer focused with commitment to delivering high quality products and services for Aruma's commercial customers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in alignment with Aruma's core values and Code of Conduct.
  • Certificate III in Food Handling and/or Disability or related field is highly regarded but not essential.
  • A valid drivers licence
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain a NDIS WC
  • Willing to complete a National Police Check
