The Role
A great opportunity exists for a bright and enthusiastic legal secretary to work in a friendly office environment.
This position involves a variety of tasks including:
- Diary Management
- Direct work on client files, including WorkCover, Transport Accident Matters, Public Liability and Medical Malpractice
- Drafting court documents
- Liaising with clients, other solicitors, insurers and medical parties
- Dictaphone typing
- Billing and invoicing
- Opening and closing of files
Who We are Looking For
This position would suit someone with 3+ years’ office experience looking to develop their career as a legal secretary. Experience in the area of personal injury will be highly regarded however not necessary as training will be provided. We seek candidates that will have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
You will need to be able to work under pressure and project a courteous, professional, and calm demeanour underpinned by initiative. We require a professional approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Other skills and personal attributes include;
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills
- Good written and verbal skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent spelling and grammar
- Adaptable and proactive
