Business Support Officer

Position Summary
The business support officer provides effective administrative, project and office services support to facilitate the smooth operation of the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) Unit and the delivery of its services. To be successful in this important role, you will:
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to high personal work standards.
- Preferable to have (but not necessary) previous experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
- Ability to travel to Cape York.
- A minimum of a current open Australian Drivers Licence.
Some Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, notify and take minutes of director meetings, general meetings, native title holder meetings and stakeholder meetings and monitor attendance.
- Draft travel and accommodation budgets, coordinate travel itineraries, catering, travel allowance and venues.
- Support directors in communication with members, native title holders and stakeholders and implementation, including monitoring the action items as agreed.
- Act as the contact person for the corporation by forwarding notices to the directors.
- Table membership applications for consideration at director meetings.
- Maintain an organised electronic filing system in SharePoint.
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
- Administrative support to the directors to prepare agendas and reports for meetings.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
