Auriga Group are seeking an experienced, energetic, and motivated Cargo Surveyor/ Warping Master at Onslow, Western Australia to join our team. 

 

About the Role

The position will require the candidate to work with the Auriga Pilots to share the warping duties which involves shifting the salt ship along the wharf to position the ships hold under a fixed ship loader. 

The successful candidate will have to coordinate the shifting of the ship between the ship’s crew, lines launch and standby tug. They would also be required to perform initial / final surveys to determining the cargo amount and be involved in the vetting of the ships and hold inspections for suitability in regard to the loading standards at Onslow Salt.

 

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum Master Class 3 Coc.
  • Valid MSIC or ability to gain a MSIC 
  • Valid C Class Driver's Licence
  • Customer service and Client focused
  • Lives in the local area being Onslow, Karratha and or Dampier
  • High level of computer skills

 

Desirable Requisites

  • Survey experience
  • Knowledge of ships mooring procedures
  • Available for an immediate start (desirable)
