About the Role:
As an APS5 Executive Assistant, you will play a key role in providing efficient and effective administrative support to senior executives within the department. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage complex calendars and scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for senior executives.
  • Draft, edit, and format a range of correspondence, reports, and briefing materials with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of senior executives, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist with the coordination and organisation of meetings, events, and workshops, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Undertake research tasks and compiling information to support decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures within the office.
  • Other duties as required.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Proven experience providing high-level administrative support in a government department or agency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound knowledge of government processes, protocols, and procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
