Wavelink is an Australian based company with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. Our business represents leading vendors, leading hardware and software vendors in the Security and Networking space.

This is a National role and can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. 

About the role

As the Business Development Representative, your primary responsibility will be to qualify and manage sales leads. You will identify customer needs and leverage your detailed product knowledge to position multi-vendor solutions that match customer needs. Having identified next steps you will work with internal and external resources to progress the opportunity through the sales cycle. You will keep all stakeholders informed with clear communication, reports and analysis. Building relationships with end users, resellers and vendors will be vital to success.

  • Track and manage end customer and partner leads in Wavelink CRM
  • Contact leads, qualify using BANT methodology
  • Uncover opportunities to position Wavelink’s solutions.
  • Provide initial solution overview to customer
  • Collaborate with Technical, Sales, vendor and partner team members on sales opportunities
  • Support marketing initiatives such as webinars, training, events and so on
  • Meet and exceed set KPI targets.
  • Actively seek out and acquire net new channel partners selling complementary products/services.
  • Ensure dissemination of product and promotional information to resellers.
  • Act as prime contact for all communication related to new partner onboarding.
  • Provide input into campaigns, events, and promotional activities for territories.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecasting with our CRM.
  • Collaborate with Reseller partners on RFP responses, end customer opportunities and other sales initiatives

 

Reporting & Administration

  • Manage NetSuite CRM system and Zoho (ticketing system) with all communication, especially sales opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in all sales meetings (weekly, monthly).
  • Produce reports/presentations as required.

 

About you

  • 2 + year’s experience in BDR, Inside Sales or Customer Service role
  • Experience selling technology products and software, ideally cyber security solutions Strong technical knowledge with the ability to understand partners requirements
  • Well-developed networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain long lasting relationships High level of energy, drive and enthusiasm
  • Track record of acquiring in-depth product and solution knowledge, including vendor sales certifications.
  • Excellent communicator & team player with a “can-do” attitude
  • Capable of working autonomously
  • Familiarity with OT/iOMT solutions highly desirable
