We are seeking an Senior Management Accountant to support our client as they progress into the next phase of their mining project development. This presents an exciting an opportunity to get involved in a project at the beginning and support the growth of the business. 

Based in West Perth this newly created role is responsible for financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control.

Reporting to the Group CFO, this position will be responsible for:

• Producing monthly financial and cashflow forecasting for future financial performance,
• Preparation and Analysis of budgets,
• Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual budget and forecasts,
• Always ensuring compliance with government regulations, tax regulations, reporting requirements and accounting standards,
• Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decision-making,
• Identifying and assessing financial risks,
• Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies,
• Working with external tax advisors to optimize the company's tax position,
• Providing training, guidance, and support to team members,
• Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of financial systems.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Professional accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior financial management role.
• Experience in Project Accounting and Mining Tenement reporting, desirable
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in financial management software and MS Excel.
