THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Group Manager – Maintenance and Projects, the Environmental and Sustainability Manager will:
- Drive Environmental and Sustainability goals
- Conduct Environmental monitoring and inspection activities
- Coordinate and provide day to day specialist advice and support to internal stakeholders
- Identify and effectively manage Environmental and Sustainability risks
- Establish, monitor and report on key Environmental and Sustainability objectives
- Monitor, Measure and evaluate Environmental and Sustainability data and reports and act to resolve non-conformances
- Assist in the establishment of internal reporting mechanisms to the Senior Leadership Team
- Implement continuous review and improvement of our Environmental Management System
- Actively participate in new projects and programs
- Maintain up to date knowledge on all relevant legal, regulatory and company environmental requirements, ensuring management and staff are kept informed of any relevant changes and the organization continues to comply with its requirements.
- Be willing to travel between operational locations as required

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary education in an Environmental or Sustainability field
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation, standards and principles
- Demonstrated ability to undertake investigations and research
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing demands and priorities
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
