Time for a sea change?  We are looking for an experienced, self motivated and dynamic person to join our management team at the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

We are a brand new, state of the art 300+ venue right on the beachfront.

The role:
The Club is looking for an Assistant Manager either full time or part time. 

Reporting to the Venue Manager and the Food & Beverage Manager.

As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the successful operations and functions of a multimillion dollar business.  You will implement venue operations on a day to basis by leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service & experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team of over 80 staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a “Hands on” approach to each shift
  • Restaurant and Bar experience
  • Have leadership skills and an ability to inspire, develop and coach a large, multi-skilled team
  • The ability to manage the day to day operations of the Venue - open/close, back of house administration, recruiting team members, rostering, functions and more
  • Ability to manage staff and work with KPI’s 
  • Have excellent product knowledge and be up to date with industry trends
  • Build relationships with regular and new customers 
  • A strong eye for detail

Essential Key Selection Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years of Experience in hospitality, with current or previous management experience preferred
  • Experience in H&L systems, stock control, excel and word
  • Cash handling experience, rostering and staff training
  • Availability to work around peak hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Be able to work unrestricted in Australia
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence
  • Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets
  • Commitment to safety & compliance
  • Current industry RSA, First Aid, Police Check and WWCC (which we can assist with applying for)
